A part of finding happiness is learning to relax. Relaxation techniques are a powerful tool that you can use every day. No matter how busy you are.
If you are like most people, you find yourself frazzled and worn out before the day is over. Our society seems to think this is “normal”. But you can only take so much pressure before you find yourself constantly stressed out.
Finding relief is critical. Unresolved stress compounds itself. Then before you know it, you end up emotionally and physically sick. According to the American Psychological Association, the annual stress related health care and lost work time costs employers $300 Billion.
And that figure doesn’t account for what it cost you…in lost time with family, work and feeling happy about life.
I am here to tell you that it’s time to give yourself some self love in the form of inner peace, relaxation. As well as regain your personal power.
Taking a “time out” to de-stress is a powerful gift you can give yourself. And it’s faster and easier than you might think.
“Sure,” you say with either a sigh of relief that it really is possible. Or you say, “oh, sure….Wendy….You’re nuts! I don’t have time for ME!”
But you do!
If you are willing to take even 5 minutes for yourself, I’ll show you some of my favorite ways to relax. And recharge your energy.
Over the years I studied multiple energy healing techniques. Each modality has at least one quick way to reduce stress. A few of these relaxation techniques can be done just about anywhere.
No more excuses about not having enough time. Or the right place to help yourself cope with stress…
Incorporating these tools into your daily routine can give you a boost when you need it. And start you off with your energy more balanced. Your nerves ready to face the day. And more focused energy.
Stuck in traffic? No problem. Instead of cursing the gridlock in front of you, focus your attention on your breathing to move positive energy through your body. “Add” color and motion to make this move even more turbo charged. I refer to it as Colored Breathing.
On your lunch break and need a little boost of energy or fast way to regroup for the rest of the day? Use this simple relaxation technique to make sure your energy is flowing the correct way. When your energy is reversed, you are susceptible to making mistakes and being unbalanced
Put a powerful spin on “bathroom break time” and balance your brain communication. When you balance your cortices your left and right brain lobe talk to each in perfect harmony, your creativity, feeling of calm and clarity take over.
It’s so important to learn to “let go” and take care of yourself. If you don’t take time for you, then you put your body and mind on overload. Then, before you know it, you run the risk of having nothing to give yourself. Or others. That’s because your “reserve” will run on empty just like a car out of gas.
You deserve better than that!
Over the years I learned the hard way what happens when stress isn’t nipped in the bud. Taking time to incorporate simple relaxation techniques seemed like too much to take on. Boy did I suffer!
Learn from my mistakes. Take a few minutes each day to focus on you. And reducing stress. Finding happiness is easier when you have the proper tools. Teach these exercises to the ones you love. And encourage them to find relief too.
One final note…this isn’t technically a stress reducing exercise or technique but it might help with your overall wellbeing…
Acknowledge your magnificent self. Exactly how you are. Who you are.
Acknowledge that you are here on purpose.
Acknowledge that the pain, suffering and stress that you feel is real. Your feelings are valid. No matter what your family, friends or medical professional says.
Acknowledge that you are powerful. All knowing. And unstoppable in your pursuit of finding happiness.
Always remember this…
No one can stop you from claiming your personal power.
